Benighted release brand new single for venue fundraiser

It’s only been a few months since Benighted‘s new album ‘Obscene Repressed‘ and they’re already releasing brand new music. Our favourite extreme French lads just dropped a new track and video as part of a fundraiser campaign. The track ‘Serve to Deserve‘ is now available for purchase on the band’s special Bandcamp page here.

Before you head over there however, don’t miss out on the awesome music video which shows the Lyon grinders recording the track in what we suppose is the confines of their homes:

The band are trying to raise money and awareness for the Rock N’Eat venue located in Lyon, France. The venue has fallen victim, like so many others, to the country’s drastic Covid-19 regulations and is now fighting to keep its doors open. 

Vocalist Julien Truchan comments:

We are very proud to unleash this very special track that we recorded to support our dear friends from the Rock N’Eat venue in Lyon! The owners of the venue are brothers who are part of the underground scene for more than 20 years and they have put all their guts in this great venue where so many amazing bands already played like Aborted, Suffocation, Entombed, Der Weg Einer Freiheit and many others! Of course because of Covid 19, things are very difficult for them and we want to do everything we can to help them because they F***ING DESERVE IT!
