Body Prison sign to Greyscale Records and share single ‘Jesus Wept’

Melbourne deathcore outfit Body Prison have signed to Greyscale Records to announce their upcoming EP, A Waste Of Good Suffering, will be out Friday 20 November. Alongside the announcement, the band share their new single “Jesus Wept”, featuring Dane Evans of To The Grave, ahead of their national tour supporting A Night In Texas this November. Tickets on sale now.

A Waste Of Good Suffering is Body Prison fully realised, embodying everything the band have worked hard to achieve from the start. Written with the live experience in mind, the band have crafted their new collection with their fans, crowd involvement and the mosh pit at the forefront. Already put to the test, Body Prison have given a handful of the new songs their live debut and have found that the response has been exactly what they set out to achieve, with the new material already making a serious statement in the pit.

EP Title: A Waste Of Good Suffering

Tracklist:

1. Here We Go Again
2. Jesus Wept ft Dane from To The Grave
3. Judas Cradle
4. Excess in Avarice

Lead single “Jesus Wept” sees Body Prison lean into what they do best. Featuring Dane Evans, the track unites two deathcore forces for a filthy, riff-heavy offering packed with tough-as-nails energy, delivering the first taste of what’s to come on their forthcoming EP. Watch the video here.

Body Prison is Daniel Macdonald (vocals), Frankie Demuru (drums), NJ VanVidler (bass) and newest member Eli Micallef (guitar), who officially joins the band with “Jesus Wept”. The four-piece is a deathcore band honing in on a violent and visceral, larger-than-life sound that combines uncompromising brutality and relentless mayhem. Melding cavernous growls and the grotesque gutturals of death metal with the bone-breaking riffs and breakdowns of early deathcore, Body Prison has meticulously devised their own vision of modern deathcore, contorting and shaping what it means to stand out amongst the crowd.

Body Prison will hit the road in early November as main support for A Night In Texas’ national tour, before A Waste Of Good Suffering releases Friday 20 November via Greyscale Records. “Jesus Wept” feat. Dane Evans is out now and streaming everywhere.
