Nummirock celebrates its 40th anniversary with first 2026 lineup announcement featuring Satyricon, Rise of the Northstar, Omnium Gatherum & Moonsorrow

Nummirock, one of Finland’s longest-running midsummer metal institutions, will celebrate its 40th edition next year. The festival once again takes over the legendary lakeside of Nummijärvi in Kauhajoki from June 17–20, 2026, and has now revealed its first wave of artists.

Leading the newly announced international acts are Satyricon, the iconic Norwegian black metal force, and France’s crossover powerhouse Rise of the Northstar, known for fusing metal, hip hop and punk with unmistakable flair. They are joined by two US bands: the rising melodic black metal name UADA, and Immortal Disfigurement, who dive into symphonic deathcore led by former Lorna Shore vocalist CJ McCreery. All four international acts will perform their only Finnish shows of the summer at Nummirock.

The first domestic names highlight both milestones and long-awaited returns. Omnium Gatherum, currently touring North America in support of their new album, will celebrate their 30th anniversary next year. Meanwhile, Moonsorrow return to Nummirock after an eight-year absence, following a year in which Finnish fans have only rarely had the chance to see them live.

Also joining the anniversary bill are Swallow the Sun (winner of last year’s Metal Emma Award), melancholic doom torchbearers Kaunis Kuolematon, punk rock outfit Nyrkkitappelu, and industrial metal veterans Ruoska. The announcement is rounded out by Stoned Statues, who released a new album this year, and Kneel Before the Death, considered one of the most promising rising names in Finnish extreme metal.

Four-day tickets for Nummirock 2026 are already on sale, with prices remaining lower until the end of the year. The current ticket types include:

• 4-day ticket – 199 € (camping included)
• 4-day premium ticket – 239 € (includes access to a VIP area with dedicated facilities and opportunities for meet & greet sessions)

Ticket prices will increase on January 1, 2026, and additional ticket categories will be made available in spring. Nummirock remains an all-ages festival, though a recommended age limit of 16 is in place.
