Danish metal unit PSY:CODE completes 2025 single trilogy with ‘ZeroPoint1667’

Industrial Metal, Metallic Hardcore, Modern Metal

Marking their 20th anniversary as a band with five albums and numerous shows under their belt, Copenhagen based metal unit PSY:CODE looks into 2025 with three new punishing singles. The single trilogy illustrates the band’s diverse songwriting unified in a singular modern metal sound while still exploring mankind and its behavioral patterns. The first song Echoes of Discord was released in June, the second song Mourning After in August and now, PSY:CODE completes the trilogy with ZeroPoint1667.

The band elaborates on the song:

“Ten minutes — the fleeting breath between life and irreversible silence.

This song is a bitter confession, a bleeding heart laid bare — a testament to how love lost can drown the soul, leaving nothing but ruin in its wake.
And then comes the final single in the series ZeroPoint1667 — our most brutal and aggressive release yet. This one pulls no punches and showcases the darkest, most intense side of Psy:code. You’ve never heard us like this before.”

PSY:CODE was forged by five friends in 2005 with the mission of crafting tight, aggressive yet melodic and atmospheric metal drawing upon technical, industrial and old school genres as well as elements from the newer strains of core music. The band released their debut album Delusion in 2010 and with support slots for Slayer and local heroes Illdisposed, the band quickly gathered a following in the native Denmark. Subsequently, PSY:CODE has released four more albums with PSVCODE from 2021 as the latest, and through the years, the band has played numerous shows cementing their name even furtherly in the scene.

One of PSY:CODE’s hallmarks as a band is their willingness to take chances and experiment with their music and sound. On their albums, they have worked with Danish top producers such as Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Meshuggah, HateSphere) and Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, DAD, Amaranthe), while the band has always been deeply involved in the production. After the latest album, the band decided to shift course for the foreseeable future, taking production in their own hands and releasing singles instead of recording a full album.

PSY:CODE is now ready to present their three 2025 singles Echoes of Discord , Mourning After and ZeroPoint1667. With this year marking the band’s 20th anniversary, the single trilogy bears witness to the band’s full palette of expression and dynamics, offering three distinct songs, all retaining the band’s trademarks: Precision, aggression, atmosphere and melody – traits persistent to the unit throughout the career.

The three songs see the aggression increase chronologically. Firstly, Echoes of Discord is essential PSY:CODE, as those familiar with the band know it. Mourning After adds to the fierceness, while the concluding ZeroPoint1667 is the band’s most aggressive track to date, not least as it omits the band’s usual embracing melodic choruses. Mankind and its psyche and behaviour still serves as the main themes for the band, with personal experiences concerning life’s challenges as the focal point.

PSY:CODE is:
SCHOU – VOCALS
STEIN – GUITAR
DAG – BASS
JEZPR – GUITAR
GØTSCHE – DRUMS
