After exploring water, fire and darkness GAEREA are chasing the light in a freezing world with “Nomad”.

“The Nomad is the individual who goes through life at a constant moving pace just to avoid facing oneself—physically drifting, but emotionally running from guilt, self-doubt, and a fear of becoming something to despise. At its core, it’s a confession of alienation: a nomad not by choice, but by self-punishment and inner collapse”, says the band about “Nomad”, their new song and video. “Loss” is the sound of GAEREA continuing to define and redefine itself, incorporating elements of the band’s post-black metal past with the sharpened sonics and haunting melodies. It finds GAEREA emerging from creative chrysalis and bursting into something as engaging as it is unexpected: There’s singing. There are choruses as catchy and passionate as the best rock and metal songs. Yet, through the emotionally charged din, it’s unmistakably GAEREA.

The past 12 months have seen GAEREA bringing their energized and expressionistic live show to stages all over Europe, being special guest on the recent ORBIT CULTURE tour, headlining to sold out crowds as well as festivals including Czech’s Brutal Assault, Belgium’s Alcatraz and Germany’s Summer Breeze.
