Gradience brings a unique sound with their blackened rap metal!

Rap and black metal are probably music genres that couldn’t be the furthest apart, and we can already see the hairs rise on the back of the necks of black metal purists and kvlt gatekeepers just of the thought of it. Last year we already had the Danish black metal duo Angstskríg poke the bear with their amazing track ‘Midt i en Angstskrig’ featuring the popular Danish rapper Jøden (check it out here) from their latest album ‘Angstskríg‘. There must be something in the water there in Denmark, because now we have Gradience for you with their blackened rap metal sound combining some killer bars with the grimness you’d expect from any black metal project:

Gavin (vocals, rap) about ‘This Abyss’:

“This song describes the destructive themes found in a relationship on the verge of falling apart. There is no turning back, so we might as well decay together because I have mentally left the relationship. I look forward to being in the shadows and finding peace in my soul.”

The duo is releasing their debut EP ‘IRONSIGHT‘ on May 17th, but you won’t have to wait until then for more music with a new track coming already in February.

On top of that, they are playing their first show (and release party) on May 18th at URBAN 13 in Copenhagen with support from Cold Culture!

Gradience is:
Gavin Mistry – vocals, rap
Jakob Harris – vocals, guitar
