Occult doom trio Brüle deliver new music video and single ‘Enter The Cult’

Doom Metal

Catalan heavy doom band BRÜLE invite us to join their inner circle with the release of a second track off their new album ‘Beltane’ – dropping this May 1st 2026. Live-session “Enter The Cult” sounds like a dark mass played over tortured heavy rock. Epic vocals, riff machine, deep and gloom-laden themes… Welcome to the cult.

Explains Arno Bechet (vocals, guitar):

“Enter The Cult is perhaps one of the most cryptic tracks we’ve ever written, in the sense that we’re not entirely sure ourselves what it’s about… which just makes it even more unsettling. Did we really write this?

It’s about an ancient lost religion, guardians of the truth who are struggling to keep it intact; it refers to Mithra, a lost Iranian god, and the rituals dedicated to him that lead men towards light and spirituality.

The flip side is that joining this cult requires us to sacrifice ourselves and renounce our physical presence in the World, and that is where fear and anxiety arise.

Throughout the track, the listener is urged to join the cult, and it is when we let go that the riff explodes, the bass rumbles and the drums shake the walls of consciousness.

And the question remains: does joining the cult mean losing oneself or finding oneself?”

The video was filmed and directed by Clément Cavaille.

In Celtic mythology, Beltane is associated with a rite of passage from darkness to light, towards better days. BRÜLE‘s new album ‘Beltane’ also appears as a rite of passage, an artistic quest. The record will be released the same day than the Celtic celebration: on May 1st 2026. Occult doom and flamboyant heavy rock ripple over a burning pyre of references such as Cathedral or Dead Witches. The album mentions ancient forgotten religions, the death of gods, the fascination for the hidden, the vast cold spaces of the cosmos… The occult.

BRÜLE‘s new album ‘Beltane’ was recorded by Mathieu Lesieur at Record It studio in Perpignan, France. Mixing and mastering by Arno Bechet.

French trio BRÜLE emerged in early 2023. With tortured, slow and dark melodies and sharp heavy riffs, these wizards of a new era invoke pagan traditions and Jung’s interpretation of alchemy; namely, a process that reconciles opposites such as light and shadow to create a new harmony. This is about sabbaths, fire and cult.

Created by Arno Bechet (vocals, guitar) and J.M. Prats (bass), the project was quickly joined by Carla Boccand on drums. After a few performances on local stages, the band set to work on the first stage of their Great Alchemical Work. Debut album ‘L’Œuvre Au Noir’, was released on June 21st 2024 (S/R) with tracks in both English and French. The album was mastered by Esben Willems (Monolord) at Bersek Studio, Sweden.

BRÜLE’s new album ‘Beltane’ is set to be released on May 1st 2026.
