Stormkeep return with new single ‘Carnal Tapestries Of Nailtorn Flesh’
The Citadel opens its gates once more.
Five years after the release of their critically acclaimed debut album “Tales of Othertime”, Colorado’s STORMKEEP return with a brand-new single, “Carnal Tapestries of Nailtorn Flesh”—offering the first glimpse into a new chapter of their ever-expanding mythos.

Since their emergence with the underground mini-LP “Galdrum”, the quartet have carved out a distinct identity within the realm of symphonic black metal. Rooted in the genre’s grand tradition, STORMKEEP’s sound is shaped by medieval mysticism, fantastical storytelling, and an unmistakable sense of atmosphere that sets them apart from their contemporaries.
With “Tales of Othertime”, the band established themselves as one of the most compelling new voices in modern black metal—drawing on the regal sweep of EMPEROR, the melodic sensibility of COVENANT and DIMMU BORGIR, while forging a cold, aurora-lit ferocity entirely their own. Their music conjures worlds of enchanted vastness, arcane depths, and long-forgotten dungeons steeped in spellcraft, all underpinned by a disciplined and purposeful approach to songwriting.
On “Carnal Tapestries of Nailtorn Flesh”, STORMKEEP expand that vision even further. The track continues their exploration of symphonic black metal as a vessel for grandeur, menace, and immersive world-building—balancing ornate melody with sharpened aggression and a deep reverence for the genre’s lineage.
Rather than merely revisiting the aesthetics of a bygone era, STORMKEEP breathe new life into them, channeling tradition into something vivid, transportive, and fiercely alive.
