Our site is dedicated to everything rock and metal with a few sidesteps in music that appeals to the same music fans like synthwave, neo (pagan) folk, industrial,… But some of us do have a taste for music and art that goes beyond these limitations. Enter “GRIMM goes rogue”: where you’ll get a metalhead, punker, rocker,… who ventures into realms beyond their usual habitat with an open mind and give their honest opinion, views and experiences.

"A mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work if it is not open."

Johanna Iivanainen’s & Johanna Kurkela’s Altamullan Road is certainly worth checking out. Fullsteam Agency gave us the opportunity to see their show at Tampere’s Pakkahuone on Valentine’s Day and if you have a chance to experience their blend of cinematic, folk, and pop music yourself I highly recommend doing so.

In honour of their latest album, Everwave played a “big band” show at Tampere’s Hönö Baari last weekend together with Golden Rot and Paha kurki.

Last week, Cyhra, together with NeonFly, started off their short Finland tour at Tampere’s YO-Talo with a blast of a show organised by Nem Agency.

Last Monday, TuskaLive and Grey Beard Concerts & Management brought the carnival to town. To be precise, the Swedish band Avatar and along with them Æther Realm from the USA. Avatar played a very fun show at Olympia-Kortteli in Tampere, including magic tricks, balloons and of course some good old heavy metal.

We had a great time catching Poets of the Fall on the last stop of their 20th anniversary tour, at Tampere’s Pakkahuone venue on December 1st!

Nem Agency’s Melancholy Mass Festival made Finland’s dark winter nights just a bit better by bringing us Septicflesh, …And Oceans, Vorna, Assemble The Chariots and Voidfallen on the stage in Tampere and Helsinki.

On Thursday November 16, Mors Subita made it to Klubi, Tampere for one of their ‘Origin of Fire’ release shows, in good company of Marianas Rest. Nem Agency presented a nice evening of Finnish metal.

A night of extreme metal blasting in our face with Lorna Shore bringing their ‘The Pain Remains EU tour’ to Finland with the good company of Rivers of Nihil and Ingested.

We also took some pictures of Brother Firetribe coming to town on their “Band On A Mission” Finland tour, where they rocked the G Livelab venue in Tampere, brought there by Master Events!

Last Friday, Psychework hit the last stop of their ‘Spark Of Hope’ tour at Hönö Baari in Tampere, where they were presenting their new album of the same name. Support was provided by Scars of Solitude. Although this gig by MasterEvents wasn’t very packed, it was still quite the night of good Finnish music.
