ten56. announce sophomore album ‘IO’ with new single and video ‘I Know Where You Sleep’
Ten56. have taken over the modern metal scene in record time and won’t stop. They announced the arrival of their brand new album, IO. The highly anticipated follow-up to their earth-shattering debut Downer will drop digitally on 5th September via Out Of Line, presenting a more calculated, more aggressive and far darker version of the band than ever before.
To celebrate the news, ten56. have also shared a music video for their new single ‘I Know Where You Sleep’. Clocking in at under 2 minutes, the single is an unrelenting statement of intent that sees the band brutally utilise blast beats, gutturals, dissonance and towering breakdowns to devastating effect.

On the new single, vocalist Aaron Matts shares:
“We chose to announce the album alongside ‘I Know Where You Sleep’ accompanied by it’s infomercial because it was important for us to give our audience a glimpse into what dark and twisted sounds and subject matter awaits on IO, whilst also not giving too much away as to where else we have pushed the bar in terms of sonic influence. IKWYS sets the tone; our music is as sadistic as it’s ever been, yet this album is full of surprises and the rest is to be discovered.”
Alongside the single, the band has officially announced their highly anticipated sophomore album, titled “IO”, set for digital release on September 5, 2025, via Out Of Line Music, with physical formats dropping on October 3, just in time for their US tour with Signs Of The Swarm.
Available now for pre-order, “IO” will be released on CD, two vinyl variants, cassette and a selection of merch items:

Describing the album as “a journey that starts from being taken advantage of by certain people, through feelings of revenge and questions of self doubt, before closing with self-reflection and revelation,” IO is an album in which Matts invites listeners to explore the darkest corners of his mind. Nightmares await at every turn, and yet there are fractured moments of humanity and vulnerability, too.
Speaking on the album, the band shares:
“With IO, we’ve taken the distinct foundation on which we built our debut album on, and pushed that twisted, vulgar, yet vulnerable emotional rollercoaster even further. We thoroughly hope people enjoy the journey we created with this pivotal sophomore release.”
With this album, ten56. once again proves its standing as one of the most musically innovative and emotionally charged acts in today’s metal landscape.
With a new album on the horizon, ten56. have a packed year of live shows ahead, heading out for their own headliner tour across Europe & UK this September, followed by a US round with Signs Of The Swarm in October.

“No compromise.” It’s phrase that’s become something of a mantra for ten56.; a reminder that the band – vocalist Aaron Matts, drummer Arnaud Verrier, bassist Steeves Hostin and guitarists Quentin Godet and Luka Rozaka – will speak to one another in moments of doubt, a driving statement of intent.
It’s a phrase, too, that embodies everything about the quintet – from the feral ferocity of their brand of industrial-laced deathcore, to the bloodletting intensity of Matts’ brutal lyricism. In five short years since their formation, ten56. are a band who’ve established a reputation for taking no prisoners, pulling no punches, and biting no tongues.
The band’s debut offerings – the two-part Downer EPs, combined into an album of the same name in 2023 – was the Paris, France-based band serving notice of intent on an unsuspecting world, catapulting them to festival stages across Europe and North America, and tours across Australia and Japan. Their breakout success led to them leaving an indeniable mark on tour supporting the likes of While She Sleeps, Northlane and Landmvrks, too. Now, new album IO is their sledgehammer assault on the barricades of the heavy music world. ten56. are here to take over.
