Grave Digger on tour in early 2019! Brand new album ‘The Living Dead’ out now!

Heavy Metal, News

For almost four decades, GRAVE DIGGER have embossed the international heavy metal scene like almost no other band. Founded back in 1980 in the small town Gladbeck in Germany, the band featuring mastermind Chris Boltendahl generated their very own unique style that spreads and labeled as “True German Heavy Metal” which they truly became the leaders of.

Today GRAVE DIGGER albums like ‘Heavy Metal Breakdown‘ or ‘Witch Hunter‘ are amongst the best known genre classics. Composed and released in the mid80s, these masterpieces established GRAVE DIGGER as a scene pioneer and proved to the world that they stand for high quality and pure heavy metal without any compromises right from the beginning.

And even in 2018, GRAVE DIGGER are still the authentic and powerful force, they have always been since their very early days. After the worldwide success of their last long player ‘Healed By Metal‘, they return even stronger in 2018:

The band’s new album ‘The Living Dead‘, out now on Napalm Records, showcases a legend after all these years in top form. Complex and catchy at the same time, the new opus reminds of the bands wild 90s, while setting new GRAVE DIGGER– standards. The heavy metal icons fire off a bunch of catchy melodies and groovy riffs that converts every undead into a headbanger. Building up on their own traditions, they even find new paths that can be heard in the song “Zombie Dance” and in their cooperation with their labelmates RUSSKAJA.

In early 2019 Chris Boltendahl and his four bandmates will once again burst the concert halls all over Europe on their self-ironic “Tour Of The Living Dead”. It’s the next big step towards and to celebrate the 40th anniversary of GRAVE DIGGER! Make sure to catch them live on the following dates, with special guests Burning Witches:
