Chicago death metal destroyers BEAR MACE have unleashed their latest single, “Drown Them In Their Blood,” a brutal, mid-tempo assault taken from their acclaimed third album Slaves of the Wolf. Originally written at a much faster pace, the band made a deliberate choice to shift gears and let the weight of the riffs do the talking.

“‘Drown Them…’ started out as a much faster song,” explains guitarist MARK SUGAR. “But on a record that already has a lot of fast songs, we decided this one would work better as a slower, Bolt Thrower-ish crusher, and we made it so.”

The result is a grinding, doom-laced death metal anthem that channels the grim finality of combat and the unstoppable force of old-school heaviness.
