Blackened tech death metal outfit Omnivortex release new single ‘Visitant’
Blackened tech death metal band OMNIVORTEX release new single ‘VISITANT.’ The song is raw and dissonant but bolstered by an uncommon fury, brought to life through ferocious riffing and terrifyingly potent dual-vocalists.
‘VISITANT’ pushes the band’s signature sound ever forward with infuriating drive, showcasing the band’s ability to display a more straight-forward approach, while retaining their technical flair and blackened edge.
Formed in 2019, the Helsinki, Finland based technical/blackened death metal quartet, Omnivortex, present their music in a furiating, unrelenting way. Spiraling from raw, dissonant chugs spiced with ferocious riffing and blasting all the way to clean melodic passages with moody swinging, Omnivortex always have new ideas and hooks to offer to the listener. The dual-vocalist bands unique, one of a kind, soundscapes have had them established as one of the most intresting bands in the finnish metal scene.
Originally started as a five piece, the band consist only of original members, them being Severi Saarioja (guitar/vocals), Aaro Österman (drums/vocals), Mikko Pylkkö (guitar) and Mikael Reinikka (bass). So far, the band has released two full lenght albums with ‘Diagrams Of Consciousness (2020) and ‘Circulate’ (2023).
They honed their skills on the live circuit, opening up for such big name acts as BELPHEGOR, DARK FUNERAL, and MALEVOLENT CREATION. In 2023, they had the honor of playing Wacken after winning the Finnish Wacken Metal Battle. Ever since, the hype around the band has been growing steadily.
With a furiating drive, the band is currently working with new music. The new single (2025), Visitant, is an example of the bands ability to also showcase a more straight-forward approach. ‘’Visitant’’ was mixed, mastered and reamped by AJ Viana (Hath, Cognitive), and the drums were recorded at Teemu Aalto Music Productions (Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum). Guitars, bass and vocals were recorded by the band, by theirselves.
