From the amazing line-up of Tolminator 2025 we picked 10 acts we believe deserves your attention and time for you to check out at the festival if you’re there or at home if you’re not. A couple of them already played yesterday, like Vulvarine, High Parasite and Ghost Bath, but there is still plenty to discover and see with bands like Midnight, Cro-mags, Me And That Man, Party Cannon, Insanity Alert, Dopethrone and Mimi Barks!

Tolminator is already a quite unique and exceptional experience on its own, but they always seem to keep a keen eye on the scenes of different countries and know to pic some of the most promising acts for their line-ups. And this year, we get to welcome our friends of Marche Funèbre, Mordkaul and Brutal Sphincter to be part of the “Belgian Invasion”, but also 2 stellar acts from Finland with melodeath icons Omnium Gatherum and psychedelic black metal collective Oranssi Pazuzu!

Finnish blackened death metal band Progeny of Sun releases their 3rd and last single ‘Forsaken Brigade’ before the release of their upcoming 2nd studio album ‘Prophets of the Void’ in September via Inverse Records!

The second day of Alcatraz 2025 delivers yet another trio of Belgian stage openers with the power metallers of Magic Kingdom on the Prison Stage, metalcore outfit Signs of Algorithm blowing the roof off the Swamp Stage and modern thrash wrecking crew Primal Creation causing mayhem on La Morgue!

On the first full day of Alcatraz 2025, 3 out of 4 stages will be opened by some Belgian gems, some banging heavy metal from Room13, atmospheric and melancholic doom with Splendidula and brutal death with a wink and a grin from Coffin Feeder!

As every year is the case, Alcatraz Festival has plenty of space and attention for the local Belgian scene and we’re not the only ones happy about that. On the newly expanded Thursday warm-up night you’ll get to enjoy cover/tribute bands like Mr. Lipstick and the Lost Traces, Motörheads and BelgianQuoBand, the popular thrash/speed metallers of Evil Invaders and a stage filled with more underground like Sister May, Kerker, Stung, Violent Sin and Ancient Rites!
