Dutch metallic hardcore act Boneripper released new album ‘World Ablaze’

Hardcore, Metallic Hardcore

Dutch metallic hardcore group Boneripper unleashed their debut album, World Ablaze, today (24 May) on CD, vinyl, and digital. Hailing from the northern parts of The Netherlands, the band features former and current members from Manu Armata, 13Steps and Bladecrusher. Notably, three of the five bandmates are blood brothers — the Glashouwer trio, consisting of WD, Jeljer, and Kees-Jan.

States Boneripper:

“‘World Ablaze’ is the follow-up record to our debut EP from last year, ‘Vengeance & Forgiveness.’ We evolved and molded our sound as a band, aiming to become more brutal and aggressive. Since we are a relatively ‘new’ band, the new record was a great opportunity for us to explore where we want to take Boneripper soundwise. We can say it is our most brutal work yet, hahaha. The record ‘World Ablaze’ is about what the title suggests, a world that’s burning. It addresses themes like war, climate change, fake news, discrimination, religious extremists, and hatred towards each other, and how these issues can make you lose hope and how to pull yourself through.”

Boneripper refuses to tread lightly as the new kids on the block. Instead, they build on the foundations of their previous bands, bringing their fury with searing riffs, relentless grooves, turbocharged vocals, and a “straight to your face” attitude.

Boneripper‘s album, World Ablaze, is the follow-up to their debut EP, Vengeance & Forgiveness, released last year. With the aim to intensify their sound, the Dutch group composed songs, striving for greater brutality and aggression. Delving into themes of societal turmoil, from war and climate change to fake news and discrimination, the songs reflect on the despair these issues can evoke and the resilience required to persevere. Confronting the abyss that looms before them—a world torn apart by conflict, hatred towards each other, and the toxic ideologies of religious extremists—Boneripper encourages mankind to find the strength to pull themselves through, refusing to succumb to the darkness that threatens to consume mankind.

With a fresh drive and a new record Boneripper eagerly anticipate to hit the stage and bring their mayhem wherever they roam.
