“Fade to Nothingness” serves as the first taste of ENDLESS CHAIN’s anticipated new full-length album, ‘Nothingness,’ set for a worldwide release on November 20 via M-Theory Audio. A masterpiece of profound melancholy and atmosphere mixed with aggressive beauty and emotional weight. Physical pre-orders for the album, Digipak CD with booklet, or limited (300) hardwood colored vinyl with insert and digital download are available via Bandcamp and the M-Theory Audio webstore. “There’s only a couple instances I regretted passing on a band’s submission, and ENDLESS CHAIN is one. We considered releasing the band’s 2024 album, ‘Agony.” reminisces label founder Marco Barbieri. “Hearing the finished album, I instantly knew I’d made a mistake—Endless Chain’s unique mix of dark aggression and poignant emotion resonated instantly. I’m thrilled they gave us another chance with their third album—a powerhouse release that takes their evocative, expressive songwriting to a whole new level.”

“Although ‘Fade to Nothingness’ is one of the heaviest EC songs ever, there’s still something beautiful within it,” Mölsä adds. “It’s a good representation of the upcoming album, and it was one of the first songs I wrote for the new album.”

Vocalist Aki Salonen reflects on the song’s dark thematic core, “The story behind the song is pretty complex. It’s about that ‘darkest hour’ when you finally admit to yourself that things went too far a long time ago, and no amount of fighting is going to bring that past back. It could be about relationships, serious illness, death, you name it. In the end, it’s up to the listener which perspective eases their mind the most.”

Founded by primary songwriter Timo Mölsä, ENDLESS CHAIN emerged as a deeply personal creative outlet before evolving into their formidable potential within the Finnish metal landscape. Characterized by rich, haunting melodies, crushing riffs, and atmospheric soundscapes, the band seamlessly bridges the gap between melancholic gothic metal and heavy melodic death metal.

Following their debut release, ‘Forthcoming Past,’ ENDLESS CHAIN solidified a stable recording and performance lineup featuring vocalist Aki Salonen, guitarist/primary songwriter Timo Mölsä, multi-instrumentalist Aleksanteri Kuosa, and drummer Samuli Mikkonen. Together, they have refined a sound that balances dark, emotive storytelling with aggressive, soaring metal instrumentation.

Following up on the success of their 2021 debut album ENDLESS CHAIN returned in 2024 with their sophomore effort, ‘Agony.’ ‘Agony’ expanded the band’s signature atmospheric sound—weaving together heavy, melancholic metal foundations with progressive nuances and intricate gothic structures. Central to the album’s identity is the compelling vocal dynamic between Ville Hovi‘s soaring clean vocals and Aki Salonen’s visceral, harsh growls. Backed by guitarists Timo Mölsä and Aleksanteri Kuosa, alongside powerhouse drummer Samuli Mikkonen (Korpiklaani), the 10-track collection delves deep into human struggle, resilience, and hope amid inner chaos. ‘Agony’ soldified ENDLESS CHAIN’s place in Finnish melodic metal, delivering a deeply emotional and sonic journey through light and shadow.
