German death metal band Stillbirth conceives new album ‘Homo Deus’, due in April

Death Metal

Prepare for total annihilation. Germany’s brutal death surf metal mongers STILLBIRTH will return this spring to deliver their 8th studio album, Homo Deus, due on April 7th from Distortion Music Group. Accompanying the record’s announcement, the band has revealed the first single, “Autonomous Eradication,” which is available for streaming now.

Commenting on the new single, STILLBIRTH states:

“Get ready to experience the adrenaline rush with our upcoming single “Autonomous Eradication”. This heart-pumping track takes you on a journey through the dystopian world of “Homo Deus”. In this Stillbirth Song humanity created Artificial Intelligence to help against new enemys, but it became their worst nightmare. The electrifying riffs, pounding drums, and powerful vocals create an intense atmosphere that will leave you captivated from start to finish.

We takes a bold step into the unknown, exploring the consequences of our actions and asking the question, “What if A.I. took over?” The lyrics paint a vivid picture of a world where machines rule supreme, and humanity is left struggling to survive. “Autonomous Eradication” is just a tiny fraction of the story from the upcoming concept album “Homo Deus.” The album finishes the trilogy which began with “Annihilation of Mankind,” or maybe not?

So, don’t miss out on this epic release! Turn up the volume and experience ‘Autonomous Eradication’ for yourself. It’s a song that will stay with you long after the last note fades.”

Adding about the impending album the band says:

“The album ‘Homo Deus’ features 11 songs (44 minutes) and is a much more diverse album than our last releases. You can expect a maximum violent Stillbirth album, but this time we’ll give you a few more seconds to catch your breath in between the songs. Every song got its unique style with razor-sharp guitar riffs, crushing drums and a lot of vocal variety between nasty grunts to ear-splitting highs. To get the maximum brutality into your ears, we worked again with the audio-studio ‘Demigod Recordings’ for mix and master of the album. Our cover designer Aghy Purakusuma did a superb job on our landscape artwork and we again combined our love for details to hide some Easter eggs in the cover. We can’t wait to hear the opinions of our old and maybe new fans.“

Homo Deus Tracklisting:
1. The Hunt
2. Disgraced
3. Proclaim the Anarchy

5. Slaughtered and Disemboweled
6. Rising From The Ashes

STILLBIRTH from Hagen / Germany was founded in 1999 by former guitarist (now vocalist) Lukas Swiaczny and plays a mix of death metal, grindcore and deathcore. Since their inception, the band has released 7 full-length albums, including Happy Stillbirth Party (2002), Plakative Agressionen (2009), Endgame is Near (2011), Global Error (2015), Annihilation of Mankind (2018), Back To The Stoned Age (2019) and Revive The Throne (2020). Throughout that time the band went on multiple tours of North America, Europe and Asia, highlighted by memorable performances at festivals like Summer Breeze Open Air and Partsan Open Air.

In 2021, STILLBIRTH suffered the tragic loss of their bassist Dominik “Pumpa” Koenig, just days before the release of their EP, Strain of Gods.

Following the passing of their friend and bandmate, STILLBIRTH was able to regroup and signed with Distortion Music Group in early 2022. Now armed with one of their most vicious albums yet, Homo Deus, the band prepares for the next chapter of decades long career.

STILLBIRTH Lineup:
Lukas Swiaczny – Vocals
Lukas Kaminski – Bass
Martin Grupe – Drums
Leonard Thoma – Guitar
Szymon Skiba – Guitar
