Pretty Addicted become ‘Hysterical’ with Sarah Jezebel Deva on new single

Pretty Addicted unleashed “HYSTERICAL”, the latest single (following ROT and MOCK) from their newly reinvented Blackened Rave era, featuring renowned black metal vocalist Sarah Jezebel Deva.

For “HYSTERICAL”, Vicious Precious is joined by Sarah Jezebel Deva, who is one of the most recognisable voices of extreme metal through her work with Cradle of filth, Mortiis, Therion, work with members of Emperor and Dark Funeral as well as her own solo work. The song is about the power of women kinship from an ancient calling and it blends Vicious‘ growling and screaming vocals with Sarah Jezebel‘s operatic tones and narration. It has both Black Metal and Electronic breakbeat elements to create an ethereal sound. This track in particular very much defines the Pretty Addicted genre “Blackened Rave”.

Growing up in fundamental Christianity, belonging once to the evil god of the bible, these awakened ones have finally found their way back to the liberation and freedom they never had under that god’s curse. Mixtures of Aggressive Electronica, Black Metal and Drum ‘N’ Bass, PA sit in their own space, not bound by any one thing. Songwriter, producer and frontwoman Vicious Precious has weaved a unique artistry that only Pretty Addicted represents. This is for those who want to get lost in a true WALL OF NOISE.

Chaotic breakbeats, fast and heavy double pedals, grimy bass and emotional synths, strings and keys with Vicious‘ distinctive, all-consuming vocals, this is unlike anything else out in the music sphere. It does not belong anywhere and yet can find its place anywhere. Never to be bound again by limitations or rules, the children of a Blackened Chapter MUST be heard..

Pretty Addicted formed in 2011 in the UK but have fans all over the world. Everywhere they go they collect lost souls and add them to their Cult. They call them Broken Children. Part of the band’s undeniable charm is that they harness a space for everyone to be valued. Liberation and being unapologetically who you are has always been a message spread here.

Between 2014-2023 they had 5 studio-length albums and one EP, all proud pieces of work and art. Each album was made with the help of crowdfunding and 4 of the 5 campaigns raising over 100%. These albums mark the times of past and do not musically represent the new direction going forward, so while they have many beautiful memories of past songs and videos, they are there only as a prologue for things to come.
