Popeda played their last gig of 2025 at Tamperes Tavara-Asema on December 13. An evening that wasn’t only fun to watch but exceeded my expectations.
DANKO JONES was touring Europe to support their 12th studio long player ‘Leo Rising’. A triumphant journey through the venues of the continent, and most places have been sold out. This was true for the Mannheim gig as well, a fully packed concert hall and eagerly anticipating crowd were the perfect ingredients for a memorable night and the classic rock of support Tuk Smith and The Restless Hearts was a perfect tastemaker to get things going!
SKINDRED’s explosive Stuttgart show on their current Europe tour featured electrifying sets from SICKRET and ALIEN ANT FARM, culminating in a masterclass of Reggae Metal led by Benji Webbe and his powerhouse bandmates. On a frosty November night, the legendary LKA Longhorn was set ablaze.
We got to see a glimpse of Witch Fever, Bush and Volbeat when they came to Tampere’s Nokia Arena as the stop in Finland of the ‘Greatest Of All Tours’ tour! An event by Live Nation Finland.

Apulanta and Sinfonia Lahti gave us a great experience with their recent gig at the end of August at Tampere’s Ratina Stadium. A massive production by Nelonen Media Live that didn’t leave any needs unsatisfied.
TollRock 2025 Day 1 was not only blessed with wonderful weather but with an impressive line-up on the first day. Starting with Lost Sanity (TollRockerz Band Contest Winner 2024), followed by April Art, Emil Bulls, Fiddlers Green, Skindred and Rock Rising gave an impressive list of artists. The audience was thrilled by the great live performances of all bands on stage. The expectations for day 2 have been raised to an almost unbeatable level.
Album Reviews
It burns, and it burns bright. Finnish rock band Ginger Evil’s debut album ‘The Way It Burns’ is polished yet rebellious, a stylistic buffet from blues swagger to radio-ready anthems. Out with Frontiers Music.
If you’ve ever asked “Who the f** is Danko Jones?”, their 12th album answers loud and clear. ‘Leo Rising’ brings back the swagger, the attitude, and the punch. Classic Danko: raw, catchy, dirty rock ’n’ roll with zero apologies. Out next week Friday November 21st via Perception!
After being on my radar for a while Dampf have outdone themself with their new album ‘No Angels Alive’ that was released on 23 of August via Silver Lining Music. This album is extremely catchy and almost all songs live rent free in my head after a couple of listens.
Blink-182’s new album ‘One More Time’ brings you straightforward power chords, clean vocals and pure punk rock. Varying between different paces and energies, this will be youth sentiment taking you back a couple of decades for many people among us. Released via Columbia Records!
Black Stone Cherry have their eighth studio album, ‘Screamin’ At The Sky’, set for release on Friday 29th September via Mascot Records. After a rather not so hard and heavy styled album, we are happy to say that they’re back with 12 hard, heavy, blues-rock infused songs, the BSC we all fell in love with in the past!
Guess who’s back? Danko Jones are releasing their 11th full-length album ‘Electric Sounds’ this Friday via AFM Records, and deliver an album that’s bound to be a classic in the pantheon of modern rock… the typical Danko Jones sound with a higher speed, and more grooves than before, proving that after over a quarter of a century they still kick ass. Highly recommended!
There are so many emotions going through the songs from The New Roses, and most of it is determined by the first guitar note that you hear. Maybe that’s why this album is called ‘Sweet Poison’; because the same memory can make you smile, tear up, or both at the same time. That’s what makes me exited every time this band releases a new album; You know you’re going to be in for something that makes you get a smile on your face. Released via Napalm Records!
‘Rise’ is a pretty average album. It’s been executed fine, but it can’t hold up to the pretty high standard The Rasmus has set in the past. The songs are very catchy but not that much more. That “something” that made The Rasmus great is just mostly missing on this record. Out since today via Playground Music, what do you think of it?
Sweden’s finest all-female hard rock band and #1 rock export Thundermother have released their newest album ‘Black and Gold’ via AFM Records and it’s yet again filled with heartfelt and solid rock songs that are primed to take over the world!
Sublime sleazy garage grunge full of swagger, bravado, confidence and great, great tunes.
