There are so many emotions going through the songs from The New Roses, and most of it is determined by the first guitar note that you hear. Maybe that’s why this album is called ‘Sweet Poison’; because the same memory can make you smile, tear up, or both at the same time. ‘Rise’ is a pretty average album. It’s been executed fine, but it can’t hold up to the pretty high standard The Rasmus has set in the past. The songs are very catchy but not that much more. We got to see a glimpse of Witch Fever, Bush and Volbeat when they came to Tampere’s Nokia Arena as the stop in Finland of the ‘Greatest Of All Tours’ tour! An event by Live Nation Finland.
Happoradio are currently on a concert hall tour through Finland and we managed to see them during their sold out gig at Tampere-Talo on the 27th of September. An event by Soldout Management.
The Rasmus started their ‘Weirdo’ tour at Tavara-Asema in Tampere, Finland on the release day of their new album of the same name, with a setlist full of songs from the new album as well as many of their greatest hits.
Apulanta and Sinfonia Lahti gave us a great experience with their recent gig at the end of August at Tampere’s Ratina Stadium. A massive production by Nelonen Media Live that didn’t leave any needs unsatisfied.
TollRock 2025 Day 1 was not only blessed with wonderful weather but with an impressive line-up on the first day. Starting with Lost Sanity (TollRockerz Band Contest Winner 2024), followed by April Art, Emil Bulls, Fiddlers Green, Skindred and Rock Rising gave an impressive list of artists. The audience was thrilled by the great live performances of all bands on stage. The expectations for day 2 have been raised to an almost unbeatable level.
Day two of Tuhdimmat Tahdit brought Michael Monroe, Moon Shot, Black Devils, Hardcore Superstar, Turmion Kätilöt, Battle Beast and the legendary Blind Guardian to Tampere’s Eteläpuisto on the second day and was great yet again! We surely will be back at this festival in the future.
We, yet again, had a blast enjoying this year’s edition of Tuhdimmat Tahdit, which brought Finntroll, Kilpi, Mustasch, Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus, Lordi, Amaranthe and HammerFall to Tampere’s Eteläpuisto on the first day!
For their recent gig in Tampere’s Tavara-Asema, Viikate went with a different approach with what they called a “quiet concert”. While not everyone was happy with the set up of the gig we really enjoyed the calm and relaxed feeling of the show.
The Rock Orchestra travels around the country to bring their take on rock and metal classics and turn it in quite the experience both musically and visually, and brought their show to Finlandia-talo in Helsinki a couple of months ago!
Mixing classical music and metal is a well tested concept by now. The Rock Orchestra did a great job when they came to Tampere-Talo on Monday the 7th of April.

Gig Reports
Happoradio are currently on their “Ojaan ja Allikkoon Tour” through Finland, which came to Tampere-Talo on the 27.09.2025. We very much enjoyed the colourful and emotional show.
After already having seen Apulanta and Sinfonia Lahti together on their amazing gig last year it was great to see how they elevated this experience even further on their gig at the end of August in Tampere’s Ratina Stadium.
The Rock Orchestra came into town for a show at Tampere-Talo on the 7th of April, where they played some of the most famous Rock and Metal songs with a classical spin.
Toto finished their ‘The Dogz Of Oz Tour’ with special guest Christopher Cross in front of 8500 fans at Tampere’s Nokia Arena in the beginning of March. Two hours full of rock classics.
Apulanta joined forces with Lahtis Sinfonia Orchestra for a couple of unforgettable shows by Nelonen Media Live. We made it to the gig on Friday the 25th of October at Tampere’s Nokia arena, and we had such a good time that the 2,5 hours simply flew by!
Smash Into Pieces and Cyan Kicks are taken over the world one gig at a time, steadily increasing their following and crowds. And these bands filling up Tampere’s Pakkahuone for a night of great fun was a testament to the success of both bands!
To celebrate their 20th anniversary, Poets of the Fall went on tour through Europe and we caught them on the last stop in Tampere at the Pakkahuone venue to start the last month of the year in style. And went on an emotional journey through the history of the band with them.
