“Vesperian grew out of the desire to build something with more care, more focus, and a stronger sense of connection. I wanted to create a space where artists feel understood, music is treated with respect, and listeners are invited to be part of something lasting.” – Philipp Schulte

Vesperian is a new independent label based in Berlin, built around close artist connection, thoughtful release work, and a clear commitment to artistic substance. Working across a broad musical range, the label brings together artists with distinct voices while maintaining a strong focus on identity, quality, and long-term development.

The current Vesperian roster includes BONE ABDUCTION, DREADNOUGHT, DRY WEDDING, FORSMÁN, HELGA, MÚR, POLYMOON, STORMKEEP, TSCHAIKOWSKY & KANN, and WAYFARER. Spanning different sounds and perspectives, the roster reflects the label’s intention to work beyond narrow boundaries while staying closely connected to music, scene, artists, and audience.

Vesperian approaches physical and digital releases with equal care. Physical formats remain an essential part of how music is experienced and carried forward, while digital spaces are vital for discovery, access, and connection. Rather than treating music as disposable content, the label’s focus is on releases that invite lasting engagement.

At its core, Vesperian is guided by a simple idea: art comes first. By concentrating on what matters most, the label aims to support work that resonates beyond the moment and deepens the connection between artists, audiences, culture, and community.

The label launches with the first digital single already available: “Carnal Tapestries Of Nailtorn Flesh” by STORMKEEP. Vesperian has partnered with Metal Blade Records for international digital and physical distribution. Further releases will follow in the coming weeks and months.

Philipp Schulte began his career in the music industry in 2001. After starting as an intern at Century Media Records, he held roles in international sales, marketing, product management, and A&R, and ultimately served as the label’s Head of International until leaving in June 2025.
