Finnish pagan metal artist Vermilia released 1st single of upcoming album

Finnish pagan metal artist Vermilia has released her first single, “Vakat“, from her forthcoming album Karsikko, set for release in early 2025. The lyric video for “Vakat” is now streaming, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come. Watch it here.

“Vakat“ draws inspiration from ancient traditions, as Vermilia explains: “In the past, villages used to celebrate ‘Ukko’s Vakkas.’ The song is a pagan hymn of praise and a plea to Ukko, the God of Thunder, to bring rain and ensure a good harvest for the people.”

The single is available as a “pay what you want” download via Vermilia‘s Bandcamp page. You can also stream Vermilia‘s music on Spotify.
