Impact

Friday night at Black Hawk MC’s Choppershow weekend in Belgium was all about live music, and especially local bands with Poseydon, popular cover band Impact, and most of all Hexa Mera hitting the stage with a farewell show. Their powerful set hit especially hard, knowing the band is stepping away after 15 years: a bittersweet but fitting send-off for a group that’s been so important to our scene and community.

On August 5th, Lokerse Feesten had an interesting line-up with big names on the mainstage, but also some pretty big acts on the much smaller stage in the Club Studio Brussel with Light Of Eternity, Redd Kross, envy and Coilguns!

And to wrap up the second edition of Litha Fest in style, we had Garters and Giggles and Dwayne Pyro treat us on a magical fire ritual!

There was so much more to do at the second edition of our event Litha Fest besides checking out the musical performances! You could learn how to folk dance with Balhalla, or how to sword fight with SwArta, get yourself a massage from De Viking Masseur, check out the many unique vendors that showed up or just simply enjoy the wonderful atmosphere!

On the second and smaller stage in Asgaard, we got to enjoy enchanting shows of Gentse Folk Studenten, Sanseveria, and Eleni Neldë at the second edition of our festival Litha Fest!

BTL

A PreParty for everyone who already arrived in Geraardsbergen for WildFest that was starting the next day with Beyond The Labyrinth and Sin City Rebels… We were also there to capture the atmosphere!

Promise Down

The 13th (local) edition of Full Moon gave us 3 Belgian bands: party cover band Crazy Copy Cats, System Of A Down tribute band Toxicity and heavy rock and rollers Promise Down (who you also can catch at Alcatraz festival this summer)!

Ankor

With 30 shows in 17 countries, Ankor’s “Shoganai EU/UK Tour 2025” ended at the DVG Club in Kortrijk, Belgium with support of Conquer Divide and A Dark Reborn, and we of course where there!

Bloodywood

Indian metal straight from New Delhi, India to Trix Antwerp, Belgium: Bloodywood with their ‘Return of The Singh’ tour! And with support from Calva Louise and Demonic Resurrection it was a great night of amazing vibes and music!

After 40 years of punk, Funeral Dress is saying farewell with a last tour, starting with a high-energy album release show at Trix, Antwerp. With memorable performances by support acts Luna en De Maanstenen and Belgian Asociality, it was quite the night!

Gig Reports

Report of a killer night of extreme metal with co-headliners Benighted and Baest with special guest Coffin Feeder!

30 years of ‘River Runs Red’, the iconic album of Life Of Agony was brought with bravura and the same grinta as if it was yesterday. The rockers of Prong showed us also that they are alive and kicking, never giving up, and with the night opened by Tarah Who? the night VIERNULVIER in Ghent, Belgium was complete!

The supergroup The Winery Dogs came and conquered De Casino in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium. Their bluesy oriented hard rock made your booty move, turning it into a very enjoyable evening with support from Morpheus.

Friday the thirteenth might not be the ideal time to go sailing the seven seas, but nevertheless we cried ahoy and steered our schooner towards the shores of Antwerp to meet up with Captain Ahab and their local mateys of Juneau at the Kavka Oudaan.

The celebration of the BlackJazz album by the Norwegians of SHINING at the Kafka in Antwerp was an intense orgasmic experience for your ears. Support came from local metal heroes Powerstroke.

On September 6, a scorching hot Indian summer’s day, The GRIMM Rider rode out once again and went back in time to the eighties. The 1880s, that is, for a sold out evening of bluegrass and country with the Tejon Street Corner Thieves and The Dead South at OLT in Antwerp.

Iron Maiden, Future Past 2013 Sportpaleis

This night was Iron Maiden night! After one of their greatest performances ever last year at Graspop Metal Meeting expectations were real high for the band’s return this year. But they left our reporter with somewhat of disappointed feeling after the show at Sportpaleis in Antwerp with support from The Raven Age.

The Offspring came to Forest National in Brussels and bombarded us with hit after hit for what was one of their best shows we’ve seen thus far. With support from punk rock bands Trash Boat and Four Year Strong, the night couldn’t have been better! Hosted by Live Nation Belgium.

At the beginning of March, Electric Callboy came back to Belgium to take over the Lotto Arena in Antwerp and do things bigger than even before!
