As far as splits go, the prospect of a collaboration between the barbarically raw Primitive Man and the apocalyptic drone sludge of Unearthly Trance should get any aficionado of murky, noise ridden doom drooling all over the floor.

It’s nothing short of a miracle a newYob record is seeing the light of day at all, as a complicated surgery had put frontman’s Mike Scheidt very life on the line last year. Yet here it is, the follow up to 2014’s’ The Path to Ascend’. Let our raw hearts rejoice!

This is an excellent death metal album done in the rotten old school death metal way the way that Gruesome wants it to be.

Two choices: take the full hit of this album and feel its force, or don’t take it at all.

Order of torment can be a good example of demonstrating the modern death metal sound with the classic death metal.

Despite of the straight forward crust death metal style, the aim was rather simple than having a varied sound.

Is it just a coincidence this record gets released on Friday the 13th? I don’t think so. This album is pure evil.
