Australian metalcore legends Parkway Drive stormed the Helsinki Ice Hall on November 12, bringing their 20th anniversary tour to Finland to celebrate with their fans and with the support of their fellow Aussie’s Thy Art Is Murder and The Amity Affliction!

From melodic to feral, the “European Blood Dynasty Tour” rolled through Helsinki. Arch Enemy with Amorphis, Eluveitie and Gatecreeper at Jäähalli.

Electric Callboy turned Jäähalli into a full-on party during their “Tanzneid Europe Tour”. With explosive support sets from Bury Tomorrow and Wargasm (UK), Helsinki was all in from start to finish.

An evening of atmosphere and emotion at Kulttuuritalo. Eivør, with Ásgeir as special guest and Elinborg opening the night, delivered a powerful and intimate European tour stop in Helsinki.

A couple of weeks ago, we managed to catch Visions of Atlantis on their very first headlining show in Finland at Tampere’s Olympia-Kortteli together with local support Dark Sarah. A great pirate party by TuskaLive.

The undoubted kings of psychedelic death metal of today, Blood Incantation destroyed Kulttuuritalo last April during their “Absolute Elsewhere Tour”.

A couple of months ago, TuskaLive brought the highly popular Tokio Hotel to Kulttuuritalo in Helsinki for a show the was filled with positivity and love! A wonderfully theatrical experience that was amazing to see!

Rivers of Nihil took over Tavastia in Helsinki a couple of months ago and absolutely blew our minds at the end of our weekend back then with the help of Cynic, Beyond Creation and Dååth!

Motionless In White came back to Finland back in February for their 2nd show ever in the country and brought out quite some people, filling up Helsinki’s Ice Halls nicely. And with Fit For A King to warm us up, it was an epic night! Next up: MiW’s show at Tuska Festival this summer, we’re hoping to see an epic show with some more of their usual theatrics live!

Rivers Of Nihil brought quite the intensity to Europe earlier this year with their “Aggressive Progressive Tour’, including Cynic, Beyond Creation and Dååth. We caught their show at the legendary Tavastia venue in Helsinki, Finland and saw it was good! Looking forward to seeing Rivers Of Nihil again this summer during the Europe festival season with shows at Brutal Assault, Alcatraz and more!

With 3 bands being shining lights for (the future of) metal, and all 3 of them having a brand-new album in their pocket, Amaranthe, Dragonforce and Infected Rain turned Black Box Helsinki into a true celebration of heavy music about a month ago!

“The Great Metal Circus 2024” landed in Helsinki, where Avatar turned being at Tavastia that night into something absolutely spectacular and memorable! And the support Æther Realm came all the way from the US to Finland for the very first time, doing a great job at warming up the crowd!

Amorphis managed to captivate our reporter once again when attending to their stop at Pakkahuone in Tampere on their “Halo Finland 2023 Tour”, a wonderful night hosted by TuskaLive and Greybeard Concerts & Management.

Ne Obliviscaris came to Tavastia in Helsinki to kick off their tour promoting their recently released ‘Exul’, and proved that they can overcome anything with an intense and masterful performance! Supported by their Andorran friends of Persefone and the Italian instrumentalists of Asymmetric Universe, they gave us a night of mind-bending prog music!

Sabatons ‘Tour To End All Tours’ came finally to an end, but not before also bringing the fire to Finland. With the Support of Lordi and BABYMETAL, they gave us an incredible show at the sold out Jäähalli in Helsinki last week. Thanks to TuskaLive and Grey Beard for bringing them here!

Back in March, Electric Callboy set down one of the parties of the year at Vanha Ylioppilastalo in Helsinki, and did it 2 nights in a row in front of a completely sold out room. We can hardly wait to see these guys kill it again at Tuska Festival and at their headline position at Alcatraz this festival summer! Support came of course of the band to watch, Future Palace!

Heilung came, saw and conquered the sold out Jäähalli in Helsinki at the end of October, yet another absolutely magical show by a phenomenon in the music scene. And their guests Eivør and Lili Refrain were the perfect people to warm an already excited crowd up even more!

Amon Amarth and Machine Head came, saw and delivered! The ‘Vikings & Lionhearts tour’ made a stop in Helsinki, Finland and set the room on fire, quite literally… Support came from Swedish melodeath supergroup The Halo Effect.
