Back in 2023, when Leprous was last in Helsinki, we met up with Simen from Leprous to have a fun chat about touring, his highlights when being on tour and supporting your local live and cultural scene!

Since they’re playing in Finland again this coming week, we wanted to share this fun little bit from our archives, so enjoy and don’t miss out on their shows!

The Polish black metal institution Batushka brought their unholy sermon to the halls of Helsinki’s Vanha Ylioppilastalo and brought with them the Russian pagans of Arkona, the pretty epic Canadian Aeternam and Latvian vikings of Varang Nord!

An Ice Nine Kills show is an absolute visual spectacle, and we were at one of their completely sold out shows in Finland at Vanha Ylioppilastalo in Helsinki with support from SKYND and Lansdowne!

Electric Callboy came to set a huge 2-day party in Helsinki and even though it was a Monday night, the energy went through the roof. With support from the lovely people of Future Palace, it was a night to remember.

US power metal legendary band Kamelot came, saw and conquered all of our hearts at Vanha Ylioppilastalo in Helsinki, with the help of Myrath, Eleine and League of Distortion back at the end of March!

Leprous always stand for an exceptional live show and musical experience. Add to that Monuments and Kalandra, and we were in for a fantastic night at Helsinki’s Vanha Ylioppilastalo!

SKYND blew us away with an amazing show full of murder mystery, serial killers, hard beats and catchiness at Vanha Ylioppilastalo in Helsinki. Those who were not there have truly missed out on something!

Dark Tranquillity and Ensiferum set Helsinki on fire with the help of supporting bands Marianas Rest and Gwendydd! And we were all too excited that concerts like they were before all this misery are happening again in full force! Moshpits, here we come!

A welcome reunion with Bloodred Hourglass, MyGrain, Marianas Rest and Balance Breach for the top of the Finnish up-and-coming scene!

Last month, we got to go to the very last stop of the Polish black metal collective Batushka “Black Pilgrimage tour 2023” at Vanha Ylioppilastalo in Helsinki, with the good company of Arkona, Aeternam and Varang Nord!

Ice Nine Kills finally made it to Finland for 2 sold out shows, and we were at the Helsinki show in Vanha Ylioppilastalo back in May with support from special guests SKYND and openers Lansdowne! They quite literally killed it!

Back in March, Electric Callboy set down one of the parties of the year at Vanha Ylioppilastalo in Helsinki, and did it 2 nights in a row in front of a completely sold out room. We can hardly wait to see these guys kill it again at Tuska Festival and at their headline position at Alcatraz this festival summer! Support came of course of the band to watch, Future Palace!

Kamelot struck down in Helsinki to give us a proper “awakening” on their European tour, and brought with them some excellent support through Myrath, Eleine and League of Distortion! A night of absolutely excellent music that left a positive feeling with anyone who attended the show at Vanha Ylioppilastalo at the end of March!

Back in March, Leprous dropped by Vanha Ylioppilastalo in Helsinki on their “Aphelion European Tour” and swept us away with a night of exceptional music, supported by Monuments and Kalandra.

Dead By April brought a true modern metal and metalcore party to Helsinki with the help of UK’s Blood Youth and Finland’s Ember Falls!

The murder mystery and serial killer themed act SKYND came down to Helsinki to Vanha Ylioppilastalo to conquer our dark hearts and amaze us with hard beats and extremely catchy tunes. If you somehow haven’t caught on to them yet, you need to check them out!

The co-headline tour of Dark Tranquillity and Ensiferum made a stop in Helsinki with support from Marianas Rest and Gwendydd and packed Vanha Ylioppilastalo to the brim for a night of pure and wholesome energy to lift our spirits!
