Tuska announces first 8 names for 2027
While this year’s edition of Tuska is still in full swing, the festival has already given fans plenty to look forward to by unveiling the first eight acts for Tuska 2027. The announcement came on Friday evening, with two massive names leading the charge for next year’s festival.

Topping the first wave are deathcore heavyweights Lorna Shore, who continue to cement their place among the biggest names in modern extreme metal and are returning to melt our faces off and get us all emotional with yet another massive headline show. And then there is the recently reunited Children of Bodom, who played 2 shows at Tavastia celebrating the music they made with Alexi Laiho earlier this year, bringing back original guitarist Alexander Kuoppala and getting Lost Society‘s Samy Elbanna to take over vocals. Which was so well received that the Finnish melodic death metal legends are now set to bring that new chapter to Tuska, marking what is sure to be one of the festival’s biggest highlights of 2027.
The first announcement also includes German metalcore veterans Heaven Shall Burn, whose long-awaited return to Tuska comes after they were forced to cancel their 2025 appearance due to vocalist Marcus Bischoff’s health issues. Joining them are the ever-rising German blackened death metal force Kanonenfieber, rising extreme metal stars Gaerea, American hardcore band Fox Lake, fast-rising German metalcore act Avralize and Atlanta-based Sinizter, bringing horror-infested deathcore and slam.
With such a varied opening announcement, ranging from established festival headliners to some of the most exciting newer names in heavy music, Tuska 2027 is already shaping up to be another memorable edition.
Early Bird tickets go on sale on Monday, June 29 at 09:00 EEST. Those who subscribe to the Tuska newsletter will receive a personal purchase code by email before the sale begins.
