A new chapter for the Belgian death metal band Carnation has begun: a new look, an upcoming new album with ‘Cursed Mortality’ (out in November via Season of Mist), and some surprising new touches in their new music! Last week, they unveiled some of their plans with the artwork of the upcoming album and the title track as the first single!

The French symphonic melodic death metal outfit Aephanemer came to On The Rocks, saw a wild crowd and conquered everyone’s hearts! Here’s for hoping that they get to come back to Finland some time really soon! And local up-and-comers Numento definitely got us warmed up properly for the main event!
The French band Aephanemer dropped by On The Rocks in Helsinki to turn the heat up and make a pretty much crammed venue go wild to their symphonic/melodic death metal tunes! Support came from locals Numento.
The 2nd day of Steelfest XI, a day with intense performances from bands like Ymir, Infernal, Totalselfhatred, Ride For Revenge, and Kalmankantaja, a couple of firsts with Gravespawn and Grenadier visiting Europe for the first time, blistering shows by Tsatthoggua, Sex Messiah, and Witchtrap, and legendary black metal acts Gehenna, Behexen and Carpathian Forest!
The outdoor stage on the 2nd day of Steelfest XI was the place for explosive and often high velocity performances by Tsatthoggua, Sex Messiah, Grenadier, Witchtrap, Kalmankantaja and Behexen!
The second day of Steelfest XI delivered another serving of proper dark underground and extreme metal on the indoors stage with performances from Gravespawn, Ymir, Infernal, Totalselfhatred, Ride For Revenge, Gehenna and Carpathian Forest!
Jinjer is on tour through Europe this summer, and we attended their show in Lille, France. Warm up act was the French band Hypno5e!
The mysterious French black metal entity Blut Aus Nord unveiled the sinister track ‘The Endless Multitude’, the first of their upcoming album ‘Disharmonium – Nahab’, set for release in August via Debemur Morti!
