A night of post-punk with the Finnish Grave Pleasures celebrating the release of ‘Plagueboys’ and oppressive industrial metal from Dome Runner at Korjaamo in Helsinki!

Grave Pleasures came to Korjaamo in Helsinki at the end of April to celebrate the release of their latest album ‘Plagueboys’, and with the band we danced our way into the weekend. But not before we first got an intense show from the industrial metal support act Dome Runner.

On the third abum ‘Black Flame Eternal’ the Atlanta-based quartet Cloak has honed their black metal/gothic/black metal craft to create their magnum opus. Recommended for fans of Uada, Tribulation, and Satyricon, it is out now on Season of Mist.

Blasphemer’s new side project band RUÏM offers a sinister and visceral piece of black metal. The debut album ‘Black Royal Spiritism – I. O Sino da Igreja’ is a demonic opus and a towering achievement for Grammy award winning guitarist Blasphemer. Out via Peaceville Records.

A night of incredible music from Ne Obliviscaris, Persefone and Asymmetric Universe at Tavastia in Helsinki at the beginning of last month, the start of what was going to be an incredible tour in Europe for these guys!

Ne Obliviscaris came to Tavastia in Helsinki to kick off their tour promoting their recently released ‘Exul’, and proved that they can overcome anything with an intense and masterful performance! Supported by their Andorran friends of Persefone and the Italian instrumentalists of Asymmetric Universe, they gave us a night of mind-bending prog music!

After a long break, THE CULT, the iconic rock band, is back on tour in Europe and the UK in June and July 2023. With a very limited number of gigs, we were on-site for their only German show in Stuttgart on June 15th, 2023. Opening act was Lili Refrain.

On the third day of Rockfest 2023, we weren’t able to capture as many bands as on the earlier days due to other responsibilities and some artists not wanting any pictures to be taken, but we still caught the performances by Finnish legends Xysma and Rotten Sound on the Black Stage!
