The edges were sharp on Rockfest 2025’s final day. From crushing modern metal to hardcore punk defiance, Ghostkid, Immortal Disfigurement, and Black Flag left their mark on the Red & Black Stages.

Rockfest’s second day delivered a powerful main stage lineup: Battle Beast flying the Finnish metal flag, Bullet For My Valentine celebrating 20 years of The Poison, and Till Lindemann closing the night with his unmistakable theatrical darkness.

Rockfest Friday wasn’t just about the main stage. From Dead By April and Awake Again to Jinjer and Cemetery Skyline, the Red and Black Stage delivered intensity, precision, and atmosphere in equal measure.

In mid-May, Ääniwalli became a vortex of technical brutality and progressive intensity as Born of Osiris brought their tour to Helsinki. With support from death metal and deathcore juggernauts Ingested, the genre-bending Entheos, and Portugal’s The Voynich Code, the night unfolded as a showcase of modern metal’s most forward-pushing acts.

Caliban tore through Ääniwalli with their “Back From Hell Tour 2025,” backed by In Heart’s Wake, Cabal, and Assemble the Chariots. A night of relentless energy and crushing breakdowns!

Motionless In White came back to Finland back in February for their 2nd show ever in the country and brought out quite some people, filling up Helsinki’s Ice Halls nicely. And with Fit For A King to warm us up, it was an epic night! Next up: MiW’s show at Tuska Festival this summer, we’re hoping to see an epic show with some more of their usual theatrics live!

Asking Alexandria brought their tour to the Clyde Theatre in Ft Wayne, IN and put on a great show with the help of support acts From Ashes To New, Royale Lynn and What Lies Below! Those who were not there really missed out!

Silent Planet came back to Europe with their “Superbloom” headline tour and brought with them Like Moths To Flames, VEXED and Avoid! We caught them in the beginning of February at Korjaamo in Helsinki for a great night of metalcore and alternative metal! Brought to us by TuskaLive!

The Convalescence stirred things up with a healthy serving of deathcore on a Sunday night at Piere’s in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and the help of support Mantra of Morta, Nailed Casket and Discard the Body!

A couple of weeks ago, MOTIONLESS IN WHITE took over LKA Longhorn in Stuttgart, Germany on their ‘Touring the End of the World’ tour. They brought along Canadian deathcore stars BRAND OF SACRIFICE and Texan ensemble FIT FOR A KING. The venue filled to the absolute max got a fantastic US stage production in the beloved club atmosphere. An early big concert highlight in 2025! Still on tour, we can’t wait to welcome them at Helsinki Jäähalli in Finland this Tuesday!
