Moon Shot
(Black Stage - Thu 12/06 - 18.30-19.30)
An absolute beast of a supergroup featuring members from popular Finnish rock and metal bands Lapko, Disco Ensemble and Children of Bodom: Moon Shot! These guys got together about 4 years ago, and ever since their trajectory has just been going up. Their brand of 21st century rock ‘n’ roll results in some infectious songs and killer rock tracks. And if that is not enough, this is a band you need to experience live. You could say that of every band, but it’s so much more true for Moon Shot. Every show we’ve managed to see in the past, has been high energy and pure rock ‘n’ roll with the whole band throwing their all into it. Last time we saw them in this very same festival area, was at Knotfest Finland, with a moon on stage at all, definitely one of the most memorable shows by local talent at that fest! Join us to rock out in the Gatorade Center early Thursday evening!
Sepultura
(Main Stage - Thu 12/06 - 19.35-20.50)
Sepultura is undeniably a legendary and iconic metal band. But this show at Rockfest 2025 is one that you really don’t want to miss! They are going through a worldwide farewell tour, so it might very well be the last chance ever to see these guys take over a stage in Finland or even anywhere. And going on what we experienced when they played the main stage at Alcatraz Festival in Belgium a couple of years ago, this is going to be madness! Back then, there were constant moshpits and endless streams of crowdsurfers for the stage crew to swallow. This is going to be a true celebration of extreme metal and the legends that are Sepultura. Be there!
RØRY
(Black Stage - Thu 12/06 - 20.55-21.55)
Maybe not as heavy musically, but a great fit nevertheless, the UK artist RØRY is visiting Finland to share her music and especially recently released album with all of us. She’s a musician who has been struggling to become a rockstar and is now finally well on her way to reach that status. Having gone through plenty of mental health issues and overall struggles in life, that clearly has bled through into her songs, creating both an outlet for her and a comfort for music fans all around the world. Musically, you can expect a bit of everything with touches of nu metal, pop, alt-rock and even some rap. On stage you’ll see this blue haired creature go absolutely hard and blow the energy through the roof with a very emotional performance. We expect something very memorable show as the last act of the first day on the stage in the Gatorade Center!
Awake Again
(Black Stage - Fri 13/06 - 18.45-19.45)
If there is one band from Finnish soil you’ll want to check out, it’s the literal local heroes of Awake Again. These Turku-natives have been building quite the fan base and when you get to see them live, you’ll quickly understand why. Their modern metal is already infectious as it is, but seeing the band in action will blow you away, and there is simply no way you won’t be dancing to the beat. We recently caught them on a small club stage in Helsinki and it was an absolute blast, now we really want to see them in action on a big stage at one of the biggest festivals of the country!
Bullet For My Valentine
(Main Stage - Fri 13/06 - 20.05-21.20)
It’s been quite some time now since Bullet For My Valentine last visited Finland. From what we recall, the last time we saw these metalcore icons live was at Rockfest about half a decade ago. They’ve been celebrating their 20-year-old debut album ‘The Poison’ in 2025 and we’re expecting quite a few songs being on the setlist from that classic. While not forgetting about their more recent hits of course, they have plenty to choose from anyway! We’re going to check them out to relive some of our youth, and well, who knows when will be the next time they come in this neighborhood again?
Jinjer
(Red Stage - Fri 13/06 - 21.25-22.25)
You could arguably call Jinjer one of the fastest rising metal acts in the scene, and the Ukrainian machine doesn’t look like it’s planning to slow down any time soon. They recently released yet another massive album with ‘Duél‘, solidifying their status as one of the best bands around. So their show at Rockfest is a great opportunity for you to hear some of these new songs live for the very first time if you haven’t seen them the past year! And regardless that, every single Jinjer show is one of the best, most intense and beautiful things you can participate in. Make sure you’re in front of that Red Stage on Friday evening, you won’t regret it!
Cemetery Skyline
(Red Stage - Fri 13/06 - 00.10-01.10)
It’s really late at night, but if you still have some energy left after Till Lindemann‘s set on Friday, you should make your way to the Red Stage to see the goth metal/rock supergroup Cemetery Skyline! With members from Dark Tranquillity, Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum, Amorphis, Dimmu Borgir and Sentenced, this is really a collection of some of the best musicians of the Nordic metal scene. And Mikael Stanne‘s voice is an absolutely great fit for the gloomy gothic music. With their first album ‘Nordic Gothic’ widely positively received, this is really the act you will want to catch at Rockfest. And their show being rather late in the evening, the darkening sky will be a great setting for it!
Demolition 23
(Main Stage - Sat 14/06 - 15.45-16.45)
After 2 days of festival, you might struggle to get your third and last day going, may we recommend you get to the main stage on Saturday early on. Because the Finnish cult rock outfit Demolition 23 is setting up shop there and if you want a shot of energy, they’ll get you your fix! With rock legend Michael Monroe at the helm, and his Hanoi Rocks friends Sami Yaffa and Nasty Suicide by his side, you can expect a high energy (glam) punk show that’ll rock you awake for sure!
GHØSTKID
(Red Stage - Sat 14/06 - 16.50-17.50)
Last year, they amazed at Tuska and did it all over again with a sold out Tavastia show. GHØSTKID is a quirky and exciting band that does things their own way. A mix of metalcore and alternative metal with a band that looks like they crawled out of a nearby cemetery, and endless energy live. This offshoot of Electric Callboy, created by their former vocalist Sushi, has become a beast of its own with emotional tracks and passionate performances that you’ll remember for a long time!
Black Flag
(Red Stage - Sat 14/06 - 21.25-22.25)
Black Flag is a legendary name in the hardcore punk scene worldwide. They were very much part of kickstarting the whole hardcore thing, and their iconic logo is probably one of the most recognisable logos around. One of their best known iterations was with Henry Rollins as lead singer, but they’ve continued to resurface regularly under different forms over the decades, with the one constant being guitarist Greg Ginn. After about a decade of a relatively consistent line-up, earlier this year the band got completely renewed by Greg bringing in 3 relatively unknown (and quite young) musicians of which the new vocalist is female, the first in the band’s almost half a decade of existence! So if you want to witness a legendary and iconic band that at the same time is something new and fresh, you might want to get yourself to the Red Stage Saturday evening!
