After a well-deserved summer break, the new season opened with a bang. Fat Bastard Promotions and Asgaard managed to book 1914, one of the most interesting bands of the last decade. Bokkerijders was chosen as support. No wonder the tickets flew out the door. After a few days, the event was hopelessly sold out.
The new album “Wake Up the Wicked” from the German power metal act Powerwolf brings the band again to highlight each track stuffed with heavy rocking anthems and a bold twist of power metal style. Out via Napalm Records!
In the beginning of July, we hosted our very own Midsummer Folkfestival, fittingly named Litha Fest, and it was a great success with workshops, a lovely market and tons of other things to discover besides the amazing performances of Hert, Faybula, Sorcières, Nytt Land and Faie!
While on the road supporting In This Moment and Ice Nine Kills on tour in the USA, the Swedish metallers of Avatar came to bring their “Great Metal Circus” to the Clyde Theatre in Ft Wayne, Indiana. One of the few headlining stops they’re doing, providing people the chance to get the full experience and freakshow treatment that usually comes with the band, providing a night to remember for many there! Support came from locals Mantra of Morta!
The third offering ‘Eastern Tales’ from the French atmospheric black metal project Belore will be much appreciated by fans of Summoning, Caladan Brood and Emyn Muil. Out via Northern Silence Productions.

Orden Ogans new, slightly harder, album ‘The Order Of Fear’, which has been released on July 5th via Reigning Phoenix Music, hasn’t gotten any big highlights, but it’s on a nice even high level. Everything works just perfect together. Catch their show on the Prison Stage of Alcatraz Festival this Friday!
Dyscordia’s fourth album ‘The Road to Oblivion’ is out since April, and it’s a true treat to the ear for any metal fan. Go check out this little musical gem of a great Belgian metal band and if you’re going to Alcatraz, make sure you catch them opening up the whole festival weekend with their hometown show on the main stage early this Friday!
