Year 2023 is closing out and we at GRIMM have our sights set for next year and all the amazing shows and festivals coming up, but before that, let’s look into this past year in photos once again with a selection of Emerik’s favorite pictures, going from extreme and underground, to legendary bands like Nocturnal Sorcery, Horna, Nunslaughter, Merrimack, Pensées Nocturnes, Sex Messiah, Kalmankantaja, VV, Sick Of It All, Lordi, Michael Monroe, The Hellacopters, Possessed, The Mission, Lorna Shore, Kuvotus, Ingested, Voivod, Sodom, Watain, Burst, Full Of Hell, Demolition 23, and Brujeria!

Festival Reports

The 2nd day of Steelfest XI, a day with intense performances from bands like Ymir, Infernal, Totalselfhatred, Ride For Revenge, and Kalmankantaja, a couple of firsts with Gravespawn and Grenadier visiting Europe for the first time, blistering shows by Tsatthoggua, Sex Messiah, and Witchtrap, and legendary black metal acts Gehenna, Behexen and Carpathian Forest!

A last day of underground extreme metal madness to wrap up an extra long anniversary edition of Steelfest, which was both exhausting and absolutely intense from the beginning to the end!

The 1st day of the one-off SteelHordes event brought some quality black and death metal from the very fertile Finnish underground!

Two days of the best underground artists the metal scene has to offer at the Finnish city that brought forth a ton of black metal bands, sit back and let the darkness come over you!
