Alcatraz Festival drops over 60 new names for 2026 edition
Alternative Metal, Atmospheric Black Metal, Black Metal, Crossover, Death Metal, Deathcore, Doom Metal, Folk Metal, Groove Metal, Hardcore, Heavy Metal, Industrial Metal, Melodic Black Metal, Melodic Death Metal, Metalcore, Metallic Hardcore, Modern Metal, Post-metal, Power Metal, Progressive Metal, Sludge Metal, Thrash MetalThe 18th edition of Alcatraz is shaping up to be historic with headliners Arch Enemy and Alestorm, legends like Soulfly, Saxon, Body Count, Rose Tattoo, extreme assaults from Immolation, Internal Bleeding, 200 Stab Wounds, Sanguisugabogg, and modern favorites like Kittie, Northlane, Animals As Leaders, The Ghost Inside.
We’re especially thrilled to see the Belgian flag flying high again with Channel Zero, Amenra, Enthroned, Psychonaut and Mantah on the bill. And let’s not forget our longtime Finnish favorites Luna Kills, making a big step onto the Alcatraz stage!
On top of that, the Prison Stage opens already on the Thursday for the first time ever, and day ticket prices are lower than 2025 right now!
While we’re still trying to digest how crazy this year’s edition of Brutal Assault was, we’re already getting hyped up about 2026 with a first 14 names confirmed and they’re good ones!
2023 will hopefully finally bring the much delayed and plagued “State Of Unrest” tour to Europe with co-headliners Lamb of God and Kreator and just announced support Municipal Waste!
Hard-charging, thrash metal maniacs Municipal Waste released a brand new video for the track ‘Crank The Heat’ of their latest release ‘Electrified Brain’, released earlier this year via Nuclear Blast!
Dynamo Metalfest is looking ahead and hoping for 2021 to be a better year and announces 6 more bands for their line-up!
Brutal Assault is announcing more bands for the 2020 edition, starting at the second half of the total amount of bands coming!

Finally, after 3 years of waiting the “State of Unrest” tour transformed the magical music temple Ancienne Belgique into a pumping meltdown of metalheads. Lamb Of God was the absolute winner of moshpits and crowdsurfing while Kreator treated the German thrash fans. Municipal Waste was the excellent opening act to warm up the audience.

THe first official day at Graspop Metal Meeting was incredibly fun with a ton of top-notch performances, and an emotional farewell-show from thrash metal legends Slayer.
