The Damned recently did one last tour with the original line-up and our reporter went to check out the stop at the O2 Academy in Glasgow for what turned into a celebration of old school punk with support from Penetration, TV Smith and The Bored Teenagers and Smalltown Tigers!
‘This Machine Still Kills Fascists’ is a well crafted and original album from the Dropkick Murphys. Their music fits wonderfully with Woody Guthries lyrics (or is it the other way round?). The artwork on the cover is wonderful, incorporating the famous “fascists” guitar into it was genius.
Dinosaur Jr. hasn’t really changed – soundwise – for decades. They still play the coolest vintage gear, rock the dirtiest, grittiest fuzz pedals and turn it all up to eleven! A sheer treat for indie rockers and old souls at Trix in Antwerp with support from Garcia Peoples.
The packed Yo-Talo in Tampere, Finland was hotter than hell when Reckless Love and Dirt came by to play a show full of energy, rocking the place. Nem Agency organised yet another great show.
Sum 41 came to set Vorst Nationaal in Belgium on fire. They brought Cassyette and Simple Plan to support them in giving everyone a great evening.
At the “Does This Look All Killer No Filler tour” stop at Vorst Nationaal in Brussels, Cassyette provided us with something new to check out while Simple Plan and Sum 41 provided a true trip though memory lane.
We caught Bloodbound on one of their very first shows in Finland, with their support bands Altaria and Captain Black Beard. The shows were organised by Nem Agency.
Nordic rock band Yesterdaze unleashed an immensely catchy and powerful rock anthem via Indie Recordings with ‘Know No Better’ that will get you moving and shows of heaps of potential!
An evening of fun and enjoyment in the large and beautiful hall of the Ollympiahalle in Munich with pop punk veterans Sum 41, special guests Simple Plan and surprising discovery Cassyette as opener.
Even after 44 years of touring, the unquestionable legends of post-punk The Cure still delivered an almost three hour show of beautiful music with uncanny production and sound at Jäähalli Helsinki.
