An assault bus passed through Munich, and inside it were the Americans of Lionheart, Suicide Silence, Kublai Khan and Paleface Swiss, who simply wrung all the sweat out of those present in the larger room of the Backstage club.

The Nordic weeks in Rock over Germany have been going on. Just a week after a fabulous BEAST IN BLACK tour stop in Stuttgart, another headliner from Finland’s power-metal top-notch acts conquered another concert venue in town with a show deluxe: BATTLE BEAST on their ‘Circus Of Doom Over Europe Tour 2024’. Support was given by INDUCTION and SAINT DEAMON.

Abbath and company came to Munich to show how black metal is done at the highest level. In their luggage came the American Toxic Holocaust and the Scottish Hellripper, who opened the night like two big explosions.

Whenever Finnish bands travel around in other parts of the world, we tend to try catch them live at least once. The “Glory and the Beast” tour brought together three of the most exciting bands in the European power metal scene: Brothers Of Metal, Gloryhammer and our Finnish friends of Beast in Black. Once again the Backstage München received an explosive night with Tenside dropping by for a hometown show showcasing their brand-new album ‘Come Alive Dying’, and very special guests For I Am King and The Oklahoma Kid!

It has become a true tradition that DIE HAPPY plays some warm-up gigs at the end of December for the shows or tours of the following years. In this round, it’s the ‘Pre-Anniversary Shows 2023’, preparing for the upcoming anniversary tour in 2024, celebrating their 30th anniversary as a band. Support came from Templemind at their stop in Stuttgart’s Im Wizemann in Germany!

After a long break, Gluecifer, who are one of Norway’s finest rock exports, played 3 gigs on their ‘Kings of Rock Tour 2023’ in Germany. We were lucky enough to be able to catch one of these shows for you at LKA Longhorn in Stuttgart! Power-rock trio The Demtones gave a solid support as opening act.

The cold came to Munich in the form of a package of Scandinavian bands, but Liv Sin, Priest and Deathstars managed to warm the souls of those present in the small Strom quickly after waiting in the cold and snow.

We caught the renown German metalcore outfit Annisokay killing it at the Backstage venue in Munich, with the support of 2 promising bands with Fixation and To Kill Achilles!
