New Zealand’s dissonant death metal giants Ulcerate made their highly anticipated return with their first headline show in Finland at On The Rocks in Helsinki, with support from local tech death band Omnivortex.

With Descendents and Circle Jerks, 2 icons from the US hardcore punk scene dropped by at Kulttuuritalo in Helsinki in April, showing us all that they haven’t slowed down one bit and are still as rebellious as ever!

Castle Rat brought their “Old World Realms Tour” to Helsinki’s On the Rocks, joined by local doom disciples Mansion. A night of theatrical heavy metal, ritualistic soundscapes, and raw energy opening a portal to an amazing fantasy world!

Nahka Agency brought a great blend of Finnish metal to Tampere’s Tavara-Asema on Friday May 16th with Amoral, Shade Empire and Voidfallen. Unfortunately the turn up wasn’t anywhere near to as much as it should have been for such a night of quality metal music.

In mid-May, Ääniwalli became a vortex of technical brutality and progressive intensity as Born of Osiris brought their tour to Helsinki. With support from death metal and deathcore juggernauts Ingested, the genre-bending Entheos, and Portugal’s The Voynich Code, the night unfolded as a showcase of modern metal’s most forward-pushing acts.

Rivers of Nihil took over Tavastia in Helsinki a couple of months ago and absolutely blew our minds at the end of our weekend back then with the help of Cynic, Beyond Creation and Dååth!

Caliban tore through Ääniwalli with their “Back From Hell Tour 2025,” backed by In Heart’s Wake, Cabal, and Assemble the Chariots. A night of relentless energy and crushing breakdowns!

Motionless In White came back to Finland back in February for their 2nd show ever in the country and brought out quite some people, filling up Helsinki’s Ice Halls nicely. And with Fit For A King to warm us up, it was an epic night! Next up: MiW’s show at Tuska Festival this summer, we’re hoping to see an epic show with some more of their usual theatrics live!
