As one year ends and another begins, we want to say thank you.
To everyone who read, shared, supported, showed up and believed in what we do: you made 2025 unforgettable.

2026 is extra special: 10 years of the GRIMM online publication in the form you know it to be today. And 10 years ago that we visited our first Tuska Festival! What a ride it has been!

To celebrate we will be looking back in some special articles, digging deep in our history and archives, while continuing to build what comes next.

Here’s to the next chapter.

Tuska just delivered an early Christmas gift by confirming 13 more names for the 2026 lineup with acts like Pain, D-A-D, Gatecreeper, The Funeral Portrait, aurorawave and of course a bunch of Finnish names again like Swallow The Sun, Survivors Zero, Kallomäki and more!

Tuska is bringing Megadeth to its 2026 line-up as the headliner for the Friday and adds 13 more bands to the line-up with Trivium, P.O.D., Stam1na, Lost Society, Paleface Swiss, Return To Dust, The Browning, Dogma, Slope, 802, Allt, Atlas and Kneel Before The Death! All ticket classes are available right now!

While the summer is about to be wrapping up, we can already look ahead towards the summer of 2025, especially after Tuska just announced the first 16 confirmed acts for next year’s edition with Electric Callboy, Powerwolf, Nothing More, Orbit Culture, Kim Dracula, Korpiklaani, Marko Hietala, Tarja, Charlotte Wessels, thrown, Eihwar, Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus, Blood Command, Arion and Tyrantti and the first announced headliner with Lorna Shore!

What bands are you happy with this time? And what bands are you still hoping for?

Tuska unleashed the first batch of bands for the 2024 line-up and it seems they put their chips strongly on modern metal/metalcore with Bring Me The Horizon, Bloodred Hourglass, Bury Tomorrow, Make Them Suffer, Infected Rain and Fixation, proggy music with Opeth, Vola, Voyager and Riverside, and power metal with Alestorm, Angus McSix and Brothers Of Metal. And of course, festival regulars Amorphis and Stam1na belong to the party as well!

In the beginning of last week, a sold out On The Rocks in Helsinki truly got warmed up for the upcoming Tuska Festival when the legendary Suburban Tribe played their first show in over 13 years! If you’re at Tuska today, they are a must-see… see you at the Radio City Stage by 19:15!

We sat down with Henkka, guitarist and vocalist of the Finnish heavy metal band Tyrantti, to not only talk about their Tuska show and latest music, but to dive into their upcoming ‘Lihaa mattoon!’ event on July 12 in Helsinki where they are collaborating with FCF Wrestling to put together a highly entertaining evening filled with wrestling and heavy metal!

At Tuska this year, we sat down with Jemina and Henri from the Finnish dark folk act Noiduin to talk about how they channel their own country’s folklore, pagan history and ancestors in their music and performances, how tricky it can be to work with traditional, self-build instruments and how they hope people can connect with something deep inside themselves when listening to their music.

We sat down with Jessie and Eleni of Ankor after their show at this year’s Tuska Festival, the last stop of a crazy weekend that took them to 3 different countries in 3 days, and had a short chat about their busy summer, the way they like to release new music and how 2024 really seems to be a big year for the band.

Yesterday, they announced a major European tour for 2025 which will take them to most countries of the continent. You won’t want to miss out on that, tickets are available starting tomorrow!

We sat down with Onni and Kevin from Assemble the Chariots at Tuska 2024 to talk about their new album ‘Unyielding Night’ (set for release on July 19th via Seek and Strike), how this is the start of a whole universe they’re creating, with the sound they’ve always envisioned for the band from the beginning.
