Sophomore release “Evenfall of the Apocalypse” of the U.S. death metal act Ascended Dead is fiercely brutal. The riffing and the top-notch drumming is brought to the maximum, which makes the album full of intensity and evil bestiality. This is an intense and brutal death metal record recommended for fans of Pissgrave, Of Feather and Bone, and Lvcifyre, released via 20 Buck Spin!

The Aussie death metal supergroup Impetuous Ritual delivers sonic dread on its fourth studio album, “Iniquitous Barbarik Synthesis”. This is fifty minutes of a slow-burn sonic nightmare that perfectly balances its sonic madness, spewing its morbid fury from the abysmal depths of hell. Released via Profound Lore Records.

The Texan old school death metal five-piece Frozen Soul returns with their second offering “Glacial Domination”, a punishing slab of heavy grooves, and stomping brutality. This is a great momentum for this band that has proved to be a top-tier talent in achieving great success in span of five years. Released via Century Media Records!

The tenth opus “Terrasite” in Cattle Decapitation’s catalog focuses on the slower melodic trademarks without sacrificing its sonic brutality. This is another high-quality output from these progressive death metal/grindcore maniacs, and I will not be surprised to see it on fans’ top albums of the year. Out via Metal Blade Records!

Long-standing French death metal act Catacomb offers a firm mixture of Lovecraftian style of death metal and dark archaic atmosphere on their first full-length album “When the Stars Are Right”. The coherence and songwriting shine through the intense sonic displays of the instruments, out via Xtreem Music!

The international death metal four-piece Hyperdontia returns with a gigantic sound on its latest EP “Deranged”. See the members of Taphos, Sulphurous, and Diabolizer opting for a brutal juggernaut sound where they continue to push their musical boundaries to new heights, released via Dark Descent Records and Me Saco Un Ojo Records!

Astriferous’ full-length album “Pulsations From The Black Orb” offers barbaric rawness for fans of death metal. British death metal group Memoriam sets itself as one of the best death metal acts today and the fifth album “Rise To Power” delivers brutal war-like anthem riffs and triumphant choruses. This is definitely the band’s best album to date and comes highly recommended for fans of Benediction, Bolt Thrower and Paradise Lost. Released via Reaper Entertainment.

Sanguisugabogg’s newest album “Homicidal Ecstasy” is everything that the band aimed for in terms of songwriting, the songs may not be too technical or complex, but they are overwhelmingly infectious and brutal. The album is recommended for fans of grindcore and death metal, released on February 3 via Century Media Records.
