Satanic Surfers have a special kind of bond with Belgium, or rather with the Belgium punk rock family. Their very first gig in Belgium was in Ostend actually and they were more than happy to be back. Even while it was in a tiny basement, no fucks were given this evening.

It has become a true tradition that DIE HAPPY plays some warm-up gigs at the end of December for the shows or tours of the following years. In this round, it’s the ‘Pre-Anniversary Shows 2023’, preparing for the upcoming anniversary tour in 2024, celebrating their 30th anniversary as a band. Support came from Templemind at their stop in Stuttgart’s Im Wizemann in Germany!
The year wrapping up means that we’ll be looking back at the amazing things we’ve experienced, and “album of the year” lists. We’d also like to give some attention to our talented concert photographers who go out and cover shows for us. So here is a first in a series of articles where our artists pick their favorite pictures of 2023 with Anna/ScarletMemory Photography who mostly roams around in Tampere, Finland and pictures from bands like Pain, Sólstafir, Eleine, Myrath, Battle Beast, Brymir, Sabaton, Mors Subita, Lordi, Metalite, Shereign, Diablo, Before The Dawn, Wolfheart, Sonata Arctica, Deathstars, Brother Firetribe, Psychework, Apocalyptica, Voidfallen, Poets of the Fall, Amorphis, Lost Society, and Everwave!
Extreme was on tour throughout Europe to present us their brand-new album “Six” and brought The Last Internationale with them as a support act. We caught their high energy shows at their stop at Trix in Antwerp, Belgium!

Every year the Lost in Music Festival brings around 100 Artists to Tampere, showcasing what the Nordic region has to offer of music. And we made it to one of the shows happening at Olympia-Kortteli, featuring rising stars Bloodred Hourglass, One Morning Left and Shereign. It was packed, it was hot and it was a big party!
People at the Backstage venue in Munich were eager to see The Baboon Show play the songs of their new album ‘God Bless You All’ live, and we were not disappointed! What an energetic punk and rock ‘n’ roll show was that! Support came from the equally killer Spiders, both bands you need to go see live whenever you can!
In the last hot days of this year’s summer, the H.E.A.T & Eclipse Co-Headliner Tour 2023 entered the stage at the ‘Im Wizemann’ in Stuttgart, Germany. That was a night of awesome Swedish hard-rock, and both bands delivered to the full expectation of the audience!
