For once the place to be is not Kinky Star but Boomtown! Black Heart Rebellion and Echo Beatty play an intimate show in the Handelsbeurs (18:40-22:40). Beware! This a paid concert for which you need to buy tickets in advance.

De sound van TBHR evolueerde doorheen de jaren van snoeiharde hardcore naar een avontuurlijk geluid tussen doom, postrock, tribale beats en ambient. De band voorziet op Boomtown de Iraanse cultfilm ‘A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night’ live van een nieuwe soundtrack. Regisseur Ana Lily Amirpour omschrijft haar film als het Iraanse liefdeskind van Sergio Leone en David Lynch, met Nosferatu als babysitter… Dat belooft alvast! TBHR trok voor dit project de onderste schuif met ‘doom & gloom’ open en voegt er een stevige scheut oosterse psychedelica aan toe.

Switch Corona is een 4-man sterke alternatieve rock coverband m et een stevige live-reputatie. Een concert van deze kerels is steeds een intense belevenis en ontaardt telkens in een stomende rock-party. Power versies van rock klassiekers worden afgewisseld met smaakvolle uitvoeringen van bloedmooie songs en plezante meezingers, waarbij ze ook al eens de trekzak durven bovenhalen. Met covers van Soundgarden, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jimi Hendrix, Rage Against the Machine, Killing Joke, Stone Temple Pilots, Editors, The Black Keys, TC Matic, enz laten ze geen enkel publiek op hun honger zitten.
