Alcatraz Festival adds 32 more bands — 2026 lineup nearly complete
Right before winter properly starts and after dropping a massive wave of 60 new names a bit over a month ago, Alcatraz Festival isn’t slowing down. The 2026 edition — taking place August 6–9 in Kortrijk (BE) — now grows by another 32 acts, reinforcing the already stacked bill and pushing the festival lineup to more than 120 artists.
This latest announcement brings an impressive mix of legacy names, cult favorites, rising talent, and plenty of Belgian representation. Among the highlights are genre-bending icons Primus, sludge powerhouse Crowbar, industrial disruptors HEALTH, and doom legends Pentagram. Power metal fans can now look forward to sets from Masterplan and Firewind, while the black metal faithful will take note of the Misþyrming & Nergal collaboration where they’ll play Behemoth‘s debut album ‘Sventevith (Storming Near the Baltic)’ in full to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
The lineup also grows heavier on the underground edge with names such as The Troops of Doom (old school Sepultura-inspired death thrash by one of the early members), proper thrash with US thrashers Nefarious, Australian Mortal Sin and the Austrian party machine Insanity Alert, the future of heavy metal with Wings of Steel and Tailgunner, a new generation of nu-metal and metalcore with Graphic Nature, Dutch extreme metal icons Izegrim and feminist black metal revelation WCS (Witch Club Satan)!
Once again, Alcatraz proudly flies the Belgian flag, continuing its strong “support your locals” philosophy. New additions include Funeral Dress, Cyclone, Cowboys & Aliens, Hope Erodes, Turpentine Valley, A Thousand Sufferings, Modder, Sons of Lioth, Divided, Poseydon, RONKER, EncountersBe, Steengruis, Aeveris, Hemelbestormer, and Your Highness, adding even more domestic power to a festival that increasingly strengthens its identity as a home for both global and local heavy music culture.
These 32 new names join an already staggering lineup featuring previously announced artists including Powerwolf, Slaughter to Prevail, Arch Enemy, Alestorm, Lamb of God, Soulfly, Body Count, Animals as Leaders, Amenra, Saxon, Kittie, Hatebreed, Municipal Waste, Immolation, and dozens more.
With only three bands left to reveal in early 2026, Alcatraz is nearly ready to present its full vision — one that spans four stages across four days, from festival giants to fringe underground chaos.
Tickets are reportedly selling fast, especially with new perks in place: for the first time, the Prison Main Stage opens already on Thursday, and day ticket prices are lower than in 2025, making next year’s edition even more accessible.
Alcatraz Festival 2026 is shaping up to be one of its most diverse and ambitious editions yet — and if momentum continues, it may also become one of the most memorable.
