Alcatraz Festival adds 50 new names to its 2027 line-up
Alcatraz Festival is expanding its 2027 line-up with a massive new wave of 50 artists. Following the first announcement of 30 names in August, the Belgian festival is bringing together another diverse selection of acts, ranging from hard rock and progressive sounds to black metal, death metal and hardcore.

Among the highlights of this latest announcement are American rockers Skillet, German metalcore veterans Heaven Shall Burn, and Venom (Mantas & Abaddon), featuring former members of the influential British heavy metal band. The line-up also welcomes the genre-blending energy of Gogol Bordello, the heavy psychedelic sounds of Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, and the atmospheric post-metal of Russian Circles.
Fans of classic heavy metal can look forward to Pretty Maids and Flotsam and Jetsam, while the heavier end of the spectrum is represented by death metal pioneers Possessed and Six Feet Under, black metal acts MGLA and Dark Funeral, and deathcore outfit Shadow of Intent. The announcement further includes hardcore heavyweights Walls of Jericho, progressive metal collective The Ocean, doom metal outfit YOB, and guitarist John 5.
Other newly confirmed artists are Dool, I Am Morbid, Atreyu, Malevolent Creation, 1914, Misery Index, The Haunted, Master’s Hammer, Carnifex, Arthur Brown, Textures, Atheist, The Acacia Strain, Krisiun, Bombus, Gruesome, Peelingflesh, The Zenith Passage, The Night Eternal, Sasquatch, Imha Tarikat, Panzerfaust, Necrotted, Greenleaf, Bizarrekult, Integrity, Hirax, Get The Shot, Asomvel, Stormkeep, Struck A Nerve, Malevolence and Green Lung, adding further variety to an already wide-ranging bill.
These 50 additions join the first wave of 30 artists announced earlier this year, which included Europe, Mercyful Fate, Cavalera performing Chaos A.D., Halestorm, DevilDriver, HammerFall, Katatonia, Hypocrisy, Kanonenfieber, Dethklok, and Nile, among others. With the line-up continuing to grow, Alcatraz is shaping up for another packed edition in Kortrijk.
The organisers have also hinted that more major names are still to come, promising further announcements in the near future.
Alcatraz Festival 2027 takes place from 5 to 8 August 2027 in Kortrijk, Belgium. Tickets are available through the official Alcatraz Festival website.
