From 3 Inches of Blood, Skálmöld and Fleshgod Apocalypse to the chaos of Inter Arma, the industrial punch of Static-X, and the psychedelic darkness of Oranssi Pazuzu, the first day was packed with highlights. Add in Frayle, Dying Fetus, Ruïm, Kerry King and Rotting Christ, and it was a perfect start of this year’s edition!

Day 1 of Brutal Assault 2025 set the tone right away with a good mix of legends and crushing heaviness. From the epic Viking soundscapes of Skálmöld to the industrial grooves of Static-X, the unrelenting brutality of Dying Fetus, the thrash assault of Kerry King, and the dark rituals of Rotting Christ, the Marshall and Sea Shepherd stages started off the festival properly.

Album Reviews

The long-awaited comeback album “Make Them Beg For Death” from the U.S. brutal death metal/grindcore Dying Fetus brings the expected top-notch, high caliber quality we all expected. An absolute monster of an album, released on September 8 via Relapse Records!

‘Nucleus’ is densely packed with a stratum of complex riffs and deep guttural growls. Within its time length of forty-one minutes the band swagger in applying overwhelming brutality.
