A couple of weeks ago, we managed to catch Visions of Atlantis on their very first headlining show in Finland at Tampere’s Olympia-Kortteli together with local support Dark Sarah. A great pirate party by TuskaLive.
On Sunday the 14th of September we found ourselves at Tampere’s Tavara-Asema yet again, to see Marko Hietala’s ‘Roses from the Deep’ tour with support of Leverage.

The Rasmus started their ‘Weirdo’ tour at Tavara-Asema in Tampere, Finland on the release day of their new album of the same name, with a setlist full of songs from the new album as well as many of their greatest hits.
Before The Dawn was celebrating their new album at Tavastia in Helsinki, and brought fellow Finnish metallers Suotana and Devenial Verdict with them!

After Volume 1 of ‘Acoustic Adventures’ came out in January via Atomic Fire Records, its follow up wasn’t far behind. Volume 2 focuses more on the faster tunes in Sonata Arctica’s catalogue, but is just as filled with tender emotions.

‘Rise’ is a pretty average album. It’s been executed fine, but it can’t hold up to the pretty high standard The Rasmus has set in the past. The songs are very catchy but not that much more. Dawn of Solace recently released a 4 track acoustic EP ‘Notes of Perdition’ via Nobel Demon Records, which solely focuses on the emotions it’s trying to convey. There’s no extras, nothing unnecessary. While it’s not the most creative record it’s of high quality: raw, simple and yet very emotional.
